Pieces with soul

All the works you'll find below have been designed and woven manually, thread by thread. Each creation beats with its own light and intention.

Materials and care

I work on high-density fibreboard (MDF) supports for their stability: they stay flat and firm over time and hold the tension of the threads without moving. I seal and varnish each base so that ambient humidity does not affect it, so that the tension of the threads and the depth of the colour remain intact as on the first day. And whenever I can, I choose materials that are respectful of the environment and health, such as ecological, low-impact paints.

Cleaning

Dust from time to time, gently, with a microfibre duster or a soft brush. For the denser inner areas, where the brush doesn't reach, you can use compressed air spray or a cold-air hairdryer at a distance. On the golden areas, pass gently and without rubbing, to preserve their shine. Do not use water, damp cloths or sprays or chemical products on the threads.

Location

Designed for interior spaces. Avoid intense, prolonged direct sun (to protect the vividness of the colours) and very humid environments. Also keep it away from direct heat sources and air-conditioning drafts.

Handling

Always hold the piece by the wooden base, never by the threads. Avoid touching or stretching the weave to keep its tension intact.

Hanging

Hang it with a fixing suited to its weight and in a place where it won't be knocked. If you're unsure about the fixing system, ask me.
